Course description:

Soil is an ancient and ubiquitous building material. Adobe is often mistreated and damaged by well-meaning individuals applying modern materials and techniques to this historic building method. This class will describe how to identify the common causes of adobe structural failure.

Presenter: The presentation will be given by Nicole Lane, PE, LEED AP and recently elected APT-RMC Board Member. Nicole provides comprehensive investigation and analysis of structural building components. Her primary focus is historic preservation projects. She joined Martin/Martin in 2006 and has more than 15 years’ experience in structural and renovation design of a variety of facilities.
