Completed in the early 1900s, Centennial Hall (originally named Treat Hall) served as the entire campus for the Colorado Women’s College. The building was vacant from 1982 until completion of the renovation of this building in 2015. This renovation and rehabilitation project served to bring this unique historic building to life as a 21st Century academic center for Johnson & Wales University in Denver.
Founders Hall (originally named Foote Hall) was constructed in 1929 as a residence hall for the Colorado Women’s College. Since its completion it has also been used as office and student activity space. The growing need for campus housing prompted Johnson & Wales University to return the building to its original use as student housing. The rehabilitation and renovation project, completed in 2015, established the building as a 170 bed residence hall and included construction of two additions to maximize building capacity.
Tours of both buildings will be provided. Please meet at the main entrance to Centennial Hall. A campus map is available at the following website: http://www.jwu.edu/denver/campusmap/
