To kick off the 2016 APT-RMC Member Events, please join us for a tour of Watkins Stained Glass Studio. The tour will take place on Friday April 8th at 3pm.
The Watkins family has been making stained glass windows for eight generations over the past 250 years. Since 1868, Watkins Studios have been creating, preserving and restoring stained glass windows in Colorado and throughout the Rocky Mountain area.
Phillip Watkins, Jr. is an 8th generation stained glass artist and the latest member to carry on the Watkins Stained Glass tradition; he continues to run the business in the way it was run over a century ago. He does everything by hand, using many of the old tools brought over from England and used by his forefathers. He is skilled in every aspect of the stained glass craft. The studio is full service and multi-faceted, specializing in custom stained glass window works of art. As one of the oldest and most internationally recognized families in the world creating stained and leaded glass windows, their fine creations adorn churches, cathedrals, state capitols, hotels, mansions, homes and historical buildings. Their art glass windows are of all original inspired designs, made from the finest antique hand blown European & domestic glass, and fabricated with expert master craftsmanship.
