Call for Lightning Talk Speakers

RMC-APT is putting together a session proposal for the annual Lightning Talk Session at the 2024 CPI Saving Places Conference (January 31st through February 2nd) in Boulder, Colorado. This session will consist of 4-6 speakers who will present their subject / project for a maximum of 15 minutes. The idea of this format is to provide a concise, quick-paced presentation with slides changing every 30 seconds. Topic should be a single preservation topic or project (but each proposal should include clear takeaways that attendees can bring back to their own projects and communities). Ideally topics would be related to the conference theme of “Rethink, Refine, Revive: Forging a Resilient Future with Historic Preservation” relating to the challenges posed by and impacts of climate change on the historic preservation community.

If you have an idea for this presentation, related to the theme or not, please let us know. Members who are interested in presenting should email rockymountainapt@gmail.com by Monday, July 24th. You must be a current member of RMC-APT to participate.
